Where it all began...

At SpecialKids.Company, we've spent more than a decade helping families find practical solutions that make everyday life easier. What began as a mission to help children with additional needs feel seen has grown into a global business supporting individuals of all ages.

Since establishing in 2013, we've connected with thousands of families, attended hundreds of exhibitions across the UK, and worked alongside parents, carers, schools and healthcare professionals to understand the challenges they face every day.

One thing was clear: the frustration around the lack of adaptive footwear.

Many families were being provided with AFOs, KAFOs, orthotics, or mobility aids but were left with very little guidance on what shoes would actually work with them. High street footwear often wasn't designed with accessibility in mind, leaving families unsure where to turn.

As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: we believe footwear should never be a barrier. Everyone deserves shoes that support them in living life to the fullest.
